WHO IS AN AMI?

Are you asking yourself if the Lord is calling you, if your call is to be  a Fraterna? We invite you to make a promise to dedicate a special time to discern if the Lord is calling you to the path of full apostolic availability as a Fraterna or if your call to holiness is through the sacrament of marriage. Through this promise, you enter the Association of Mary Immaculate (AMI) and you make a commitment for a year's duration to deepen in your relationship with Jesus and your knowledge of your personal vocation and of yourself.

During this time as an "AMI" you receive spiritual direction and spend time with the Fraternas, participating in their life and apostolate.  You also share your time with other young women like you who are living a similar discernment process.

MEET SOME AMI'S

Michelle LeBlanc  (Baton Rouge, Louisiana - USA)
27 years old
Over the past year, the spirituality of the Fraternas has brought
so much joy, love & depth to my understanding of the world and
my place in it.
There's more to life than what I'm experiencing! It's like an awakening
to the need and a rising to the challenge. God has called me to greatness
and I trust that He will answer in this next year. And, now, I'm finally ready
to listen.

Eileen Leyne  (Montreal, Canada)
25 years old
I was blessed to be in Peru for Holy Week 2004 and participated
in a silent retreat with all the AMI's and the Fraterna's in formation.
Despite having many unanswered questions and fears, as I meditated
on the hope of Mary that Easter Vigil it became undoubtedly clear
to me that I was knit with the heart of a Fraterna.  At that moment
I decided to move to Denver to make my AMI promise.  In reality,
I wanted to enter the community as a Fraterna right away. But,
the Lord was to show me the path of patience. Now as I eagerly
wait to start my formation in March 2006, I can see clearly the
importance of my time as an AMI. This time has helped me
to deepen in my understanding of the vocation.
